Arsenal's unbeaten streak ended due to goalline technology
Bafetimbi Gomis' goal was confirmed by video technology as Arsenal lost 0-1 to Swansea at Emirates in the latest match of round 36 of the Premier League, yesterday, May 11.
Minute 85, from a cross byJefferson Montero on the left wing, Gomis jumped higher than two Arsenal defenders Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal, to head into the bottom corner.
Goalkeeper David Ospina looked to have saved a goal when he dived to block the ball from going into the net.
However, Goal-line video technology helped referees determine that the ball had crossed the line in this situation.

Before Gomis' goal, Arsenal - for the first time since 1994 playing with the same lineup as the previous four matches - also created many opportunities.
However, Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez either missed the target...

The former Arsenal goalkeeper made a series of excellent saves to keep Swansea clean before Gomis scored the winner, marking the first time since the 1981-82 season that the team had won a league double against Arsenal.
After 10 consecutive unbeaten matches, including nine wins, Arsenal lost for the first time in the Premier League. Yesterday's 1-0 loss to Swansea left Arsene Wenger's side in third place, three points behind Manchester City, but they have a game in hand.
Swansea were delighted with the three more points to keep their hopes of qualifying for next season's Europa League alive. They are currently seventh with 56 points, just two behind sixth-placed Tottenham, the final European team. Photo: SM.
