Arsenal won the FA Cup, destroying Chelsea's dream of winning the double

Wenger and his team defeated their opponents 2-1 after a dramatic match to become the most successful team in the English National Cup arena.

Chelsea's best chance of the first half was Costa's sprint to meet a long pass from Pedro. But in this situation, the winner was goalkeeper David Ospina, a very excellent factor for the "Gunners" in this match.

In the first 15 minutes of the second half, Chelsea played more proactively, changing their appearance compared to the first half. In the remaining minutes, Chelsea still had chances to equalize but they were all not really good situations. Arsenal was the team that had good chances to score but missed them all, in which Mesut Ozil calmly handled but shot against the post.

This was a game in which Arsenal's defence played very well, with goalkeeper Ospina and centre-back Per Mertesacker standing out. Before kick-off, Laurent Koscielny's suspension forced Wenger to start Mertesacker for the first time in 392 days. But the German centre-back contributed to a very disciplined game and helped Arsenal defend against most of the high balls with his height.
