On the competition day of September 30, two boxers Le Thi Bang and Luu Thi Duyen entered the semi-finals in the women's under 51kg and under 60kg weight categories. Le Thi Bang faced off against Indian boxer - Hmangte. Facing an experienced opponent, Le Thi Bang had to accept the bronze medal with a score of 0-3.

In the other semi-final, Luu Thi Duyen was also no match for Yin Junhua and lost quickly with a score of 0-3. Despite the loss, the fact that 2/3 boxers reached the semi-finals can be considered a surprise for Vietnamese boxing. This result brought the total number of medals of the Vietnamese sports delegation to 32 medals. Currently, the delegation has dropped to 20th place out of 33 participating countries.

Today was an unlucky day for the Vietnamese team's combat sports. After the two female boxers of the Boxing team lost in the semi-finals, the Taekwondo fighters were also eliminated one after another. Doan Thi Huong Giang lost to Levita Ronna of Laos with a score of 1-3. Duong Thanh Tam and Nguyen Trong Cuong also lost with scores of 0-6 and 1-14 respectively.

Of the four Vietnamese Taekwondo athletes competing on September 30, only Nguyen Thanh Thao won her first match to advance to the quarterfinals. However, she faced the championship candidate Huang Yun Wen (Taiwan) in the quarterfinals and was defeated with a heavy score of 5-13./.
