Defeating Iraq 1-0 in the final round of the group stage, Australia became the second team after Japan to win a ticket to the 2014 World Cup. After that, Iran and South Korea also completed their goals with expected results.

Despite losing 0-1 to Iran at home, South Korea and the West Asian team have already secured two direct tickets to Group A of the Asian World Cup qualifiers.
