According to a VNA reporter in Kiev, the event of Ukraine entering an early presidential election on May 25 is the most updated topic in the media of Ukraine, Russia, Western countries as well as in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

In addition to reviewing the situation in Ukraine, the media also made comments on the election.

According to experts' predictions, the first scenario, according to which candidate Peter Poroshenko of the Udar (Punch) party, who is known as the "Chocolate King," will win in the first round.

This was actually predicted from the moment President Viktor Yanukovych left the country.

According to most opinion polls, Mr. Poroshenko is always considered the person who can win the highest number of votes, even surpassing the second brightest face, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, by at least 15%.

During the Ukraine crisis, Mr. Poroshenko did not support the government sending troops to suppress protesters in the eastern provinces.

This is clearly an advantage for him over other candidates, as he is sure to gain a lot of support from voters in the East.

Moreover, as the owner of the largest confectionery corporation in Ukraine, "Roshen", with factories located throughout the country, Mr. Poroshenko has more reason than anyone else to have a balanced policy between the Eastern and Western regions of Ukraine.

Scenario two shows that if no candidate wins a majority of votes, Ukraine will have to hold a second round of presidential elections.

This is not surprising, even the Deputy Director of the Institute of CIS States, Mr. Vladimir Zharikhin, affirmed that most early elections must be conducted in two rounds and the opponents who will make it to the second round will be Mr. Poroshenko and Ms. Tymoshenko.

According to some experts, for Ms. Tymoshenko, reaching the second round of the presidential race is even more beneficial than winning the first round.

The result may be even more difficult to predict because Ms. Tymoshen may be harboring a lot of "ambitions" to win more votes from voters.

Political scientists say that if the second round takes place, the political situation in Ukraine will become even more chaotic and complicated.

The third scenario is that the election fails. Experts do not rule this out either, as a week before the election, many regions in Ukraine declared that they would not participate in the event and establish their own people's republics.

Meanwhile, many candidates have accused Ms. Tymoshenko of calling for a "third Maidan."

According to many analysts, no matter which candidate is chosen, there will still be many difficulties and complications, and perhaps the solution for Ukraine at this time cannot be just a presidential election./.
