Mother insists she is pregnant despite doctor's denial

The 50-year-old British mother said she felt the baby moving in her belly, but doctors confirmed she was not pregnant and her belly was enlarged due to obesity.

According to Mirror, Linda Reeves, living in Milton Keynes town, Buckinghamshire county, southeast England, confirmed that the baby was developing outside the womb because she felt it kicking in her belly.

"Everyone thought I was joking. I've had nine children, and I know what it's like to have a baby in my belly. I had all the symptoms of pregnancy: morning sickness, back pain and fatigue. I was definitely pregnant, but the baby was ectopic," Linda said.

However, the ultrasound showed that there was no baby in her belly. The doctor diagnosed her with pseudocyesis. This condition is usually experienced by older women who are bloated and have a lot of belly fat, and often believe that they are pregnant.

"I had an ultrasound, but they only did an ultrasound of the uterus, so how could they detect if the baby was somewhere else? They also thought I had a mental illness and was suffering from pseudocyesis. They prescribed antidepressants, but I threw the prescription away," said Linda.

During a visit to her sister, Linda convinced her to use a fetal heart monitor to find the baby in her womb.

"I could hear the baby's heartbeat. I could feel it beating so hard, how could I not have known?" Linda said. "If I'm wrong, I want to know exactly what's going on with my body. Do I have cancer? I have the right to serious treatment."
