Young doctor crosses mountains and rivers to examine people
(Baonghean) - Wearing the green uniform of the Youth Union and the white blouse, the members and young people from the Young Doctors Association are always ready to participate in health care activities for the people, especially for policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, the poor, the elderly, and people in remote and isolated communes in the province.
The Nghe An Province Young Physicians Association is a “home” that gathers a team of young doctors and physicians who are teaching and working at hospitals, medical centers, medical examination and treatment facilities and training facilities throughout the province. They all have one thing in common: the desire to contribute to their homeland, bringing their youth and knowledge to serve the work of taking care of the community’s health.
With an initial membership of 30, the Association has now expanded to over 60 official members and hundreds of unofficial members and volunteers. In remote, border areas with many difficulties in facilities and medical equipment, the white blouses of young doctors and nurses have left a good impression on the people.
Ms. Vi Thi Tho - a kindergarten teacher in Dooc May commune, Ky Son district, emotionally said: "The doctors from the province came to examine patients and give medicine, the people here were very happy. When they heard the news, everyone came early. Some people lived so far away, they had to wade through several streams to get there so that the doctors could examine them carefully."

Therefore, the Association always overcomes difficulties and not only proactively proposes to hospitals to borrow machines and equipment such as ultrasound machines, ear, nose, throat, eye examination machines, etc. to serve voluntary medical examination and treatment trips in the localities.
In addition to screening people for diseases, the Association's doctors also focus on consulting to help people take care of their own health and their families' health; and promote measures to prevent and combat common diseases and accidents.

Every place I go, I want to come back and promise myself to go more so that the poor people have the conditions to receive health care.”
After nearly 7 years of establishment, the Provincial Young Doctors Association has organized 21 health check-ups, consultations, and free medicine distribution for more than 10,000 policy beneficiaries, the elderly, youth, people in difficult circumstances, and people in localities with a total value of more than 1.2 billion VND. |

It can be affirmed that the activities of the Young Doctors Association have been and are having a strong influence, attracting a large number of young doctors to participate, receiving the response of all levels, sectors as well as the people.
Along with volunteer activities, the Standing Committee of the Association also pays attention to the work of nurturing capacity, skills, and medical ethics for members. Through seminars and thematic activities, members have exchanged and shared professional knowledge about medicine and practical work experiences, improving the professional qualifications of young doctors and physicians, especially those who have just graduated. At the same time, it fosters love for the profession, improves professional ethics, and builds the image of young physicians who uphold the spirit of medical ethics and are good at their profession.
