(Baonghean) -Earlier this year, the Literature Publishing House released the poetry collection Road to Nghe An, introducing Nghe An - Ha Tinh poetry past and present, collected, selected and compiled by two authors Nguyen Hong Oanh and Gia Dung, with nearly 2,000 pages of poetry by more than 600 authors throughout a history of more than 600 years.

More than 1,000 poems were collected and introduced, affirming the richness, diversity and lyricism of Nghe Tinh poetry through the ages, while also deeply depicting the culture of Nghe An. The collection is divided into 3 parts. The first part, "Poetry of Nghe An people in the middle and modern times" introduces nearly 150 Han Nom poems by nearly 100 authors from the 19th century and earlier, including historical figures such as Ho Quy Ly, Ho Tong Thoc, Le Huu Trac, Nguyen Thiep, Nguyen Xuan On, Ho Xuan Huong, Nguyen Truong To..., to classical poets of two famous poetic families, the Nguyen family (Tien Dien) and the Nguyen Huy family (Truong Luu) such as Nguyen Nghiem, Nguyen Du, Nguyen Hanh... In addition, there are works by patriots and revolutionary scholars of the late 19th and early 20th centuries such as Phan Dinh Phung, Phan Boi Chau, Ho Tung Mau, Le Hong Phong...

Part two, "Modern Nghe An Poetry" includes more than 800 poems by more than 400 modern authors, from the first poems of President Ho Chi Minh to poems by Huy Can, Xuan Dieu, Chinh Huu, Minh Hue, Tran Huu Thung... Besides, there are also many works by journalists, teachers, officials and employees of various sectors. This is considered the richest, most diverse and lyrical part of Nghe An poetry.

Part three, "Nghe An in the eyes of someone" collects nearly 100 poems about Nghe An written by many authors from other localities. Although the number of works is not much, this part reflects the attraction and appeal of the Land and People of Nghe An, recording the emotions and nostalgia of souls passionate about the land of "fiery sun, pouring rain" but imbued with love.

The poetry anthology "Duong ve xu Nghe" was born in the context that almost every province and city had its own poetry anthology; however, this poetry anthology still received special attention from the literary world and readers. The reason is that, while most poetry anthologies were sponsored by "Manh thuong quan", or the authors in the book had to contribute to the publishing costs, the editors of "Duong ve xu Nghe" had to spend hundreds of millions of dong themselves to collect, select and print. Another special thing is that the book was completed in a very short time, only 3 months, starting from October 2010. However, during those 3 months, the editors, especially poet Hong Oanh, diligently and meticulously collected poems every day, from books, newspapers, bookstores, libraries, research institutes, etc. Not only that, this female poet is also frugal with her spending, even using the money she saved to build a house to go to collect poetry and documents in all provinces and cities with poets from Nghe - Tinh and authors writing about this land. Talking to the press, Hong Oanh said that she is so passionate because of her "fate with the folk culture of her hometown" and "wanted to send a word of gratitude to the ancients who created a cultural treasure of her hometown Nghe".

As poet Vuong Trong commented at the launching ceremony of the poetry collection held at the end of March 2011, The Road to Nghe An is truly an "Encyclopedia" of Nghe - Tinh poetry. With verses filled with love for the homeland, the country, and warm affection, The Road to Nghe An will be a gift that the composers dedicate to readers who love Nghe poetry in particular and poetry lovers across the country in general.
