Lesson 1: “Greening” cyberspace
With its wide coverage and rapid spread, digital space increasingly has a profound impact on the awareness, behavior and lifestyle of young people. Realizing that, in recent times, Nghe An youth have made efforts to demonstrate their pioneering role in “greening” cyberspace through practical and effective models and methods.

Realizing that, in recent times, Nghe An youth have made efforts to demonstrate their pioneering role in “greening” cyberspace through practical and effective models and methods.
Living and working in Vinh City, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung (born in 1983) - a son of Dung town, Thanh Chuong district, always turns his heart to his hometown. On social networking platforms, he regularly follows the activities of his hometown's youth through Facebook pages such as "Thanh Dong Commune Youth Union" and "Dung Town Youth Union". From the useful information spread on these two information channels, Mr. Tu did not hesitate to support more than 100 million VND to accompany youth projects and support difficult circumstances in the area.
According to Mr. Nguyen Cao Loi - Secretary of Dung Town Youth Union, the "Thanh Dong Commune Youth Union Facebook" page was established in 2016. After nearly 10 years of operation, the page has attracted more than 4,900 members and 3,550 followers, becoming a close and official information channel for young people and local people. After Thanh Dong commune merged with Thanh Linh commune and Thanh Chuong town to form Dung town, Mr. Loi continued to establish and manage Dung Town Youth Union Fanpage from December 2024. This continues to be a positive online space, contributing to spreading the spirit of living beautifully and living usefully in the youth community.
Not only is it a place to update activities of the Youth Union - Association, this social networking site is also a bridge to spread humane stories and kind actions. Through maintaining digital communication channels, the Youth Union members and youth have written many articles conveying the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to the people, especially the youth. From there, it contributes to creating consensus and unity in thought and action. Many articles not only attract high interaction, but also arouse social responsibility and dedication in the young generation. Since then, the local Youth Union has called for more than 1.5 billion VND to implement social security activities, build new rural areas, and care for community life. At the same time, it has contributed to upgrading more than 40 km of rural roads, giving thousands of gifts to people in difficult circumstances in the area.
Not only Dung town, many Youth Union organizations such as Tien Ky commune Youth Union (Tan Ky), Thach Giam town Youth Union (Tuong Duong), Hoa Hieu ward Youth Union (Thai Hoa town) ... are also effectively promoting digital platforms. Through sharing beautiful stories, setting examples of good people, good deeds in studying, working, starting a business, volunteering. Community pages managed by the Youth Union have contributed to building a positive, healthy, and humane online environment. It is worth mentioning the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Fanpage with more than 104,000 followers, which has been a communication channel connecting thousands of union members and youth across the province to join hands in implementing many useful projects and tasks. In addition, every year, the website Tinhdoannghean.vn posts nearly 5,000 news and articles; tiktok Nghe An Youth posted nearly 1,000 clips, videos of activities, more than 30,000 articles, images of positive activities of youth in and outside the province. Or Fanpage Song xanh - Lighthouse - a cyberspace combat channel established in 2022 has also edited and posted more than 45,000 news and articles related to law, ideological orientation, public opinion for union members and youth.
These are also active information channels responding to the campaign "One good news every day, one beautiful story every week" launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to spread positive values, good people, good deeds, creating a ripple effect in the community, especially among young people on cyberspace.

The 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province assessed that: Nghe An Youth Union has done a very good job in propaganda work, is one of the typical units of youth in the North Central region with many creative propaganda methods, promptly spreading important information to union members, youth and people of all walks of life.
It can be affirmed that Nghe An Youth Union has been making efforts to build a healthy and humane cyberspace, taking kindness as the center of digital media. From there, helping the communication work of the Youth Union organization to go deeper and deeper, creating positive effects in society.
Responding to the Prime Minister's launching ceremony of the "Digital Education for All" movement, recently, the "Digital Education for All" team of the youth of Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district has been very active. Mr. Lo Van Diep - Secretary of the Youth Union of Hanh Dich commune shared that Hanh Dich commune shares a border with Laos of more than 13 km long. The whole commune has 6 villages, with 3,635 people. The lives of the people still have many difficulties as the majority of the people are ethnic minorities. People's access to information on digital platforms has increased recently. However, understanding the two-way nature of cyberspace, local youth have coordinated with the commune police force to go to the villages to guide people to avoid bad, toxic, and fraudulent information online, while at the same time, encouraging the use of technology to serve life, study, and production.
With the "Digital Education for the People" team of local youth coming to his house to guide him, Mr. Lo Van Chien (born in 1960) shared, "My family has been doing homestay services for many years in Long Thang village - bordering Muong Quan district of Laos. Previously, getting acquainted with digital technology was quite strange for me and many people here. However, it was the specific instructions from local youth, from helping to install applications, guiding to access the internet, to creating social network accounts, that opened up a new direction for people in economic development associated with community tourism. In particular, the "Digital Education for the People" model also helps people "know how to protect themselves" in the online environment, avoiding falling into the traps of bad guys. In the context of high-tech crimes increasingly penetrating into remote areas, the proactive participation of union members and youth in border areas such as Hanh Dich commune is truly a "soft shield", contributing to protecting security and order right from the grassroots level.
The first "Digital Popularization" team of the province's youth was established and launched at the Youth Month Launch Ceremony 2025 on March 1, 2025. After more than 1 month of implementation, up to now, the Youth Union organizations in 100% of communes, wards and towns have established "Digital Popularization" teams. With the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door" to eliminate digital illiteracy, these teams have contributed to building a community that adapts to digital transformation and prevents fraud in cyberspace. Thereby, affirming the pioneering role of youth in promoting the national digital transformation process effectively and synchronously, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 03/NQ-CP of the Government on promulgating the Government's Action Program for implementation; Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
With nearly 1 million young people, Nghe An possesses a strong youth force - both a huge source of human resources and an easily affected target by multi-dimensional information flows on cyberspace. To contribute to renewing the content and methods of educating young people in the digital age, in recent times, the youth of the whole province have effectively implemented many campaigns that are in-depth, practical and have a wide influence such as: "Civilized behavior on cyberspace", "Building a model of Nghe An youth in the new situation", "Proud of a strip of land and rivers"... Thereby, contributing to spreading positive values, building a healthy and safe cyber environment.
Currently, Nghe An Youth Union has more than 460 reporters and propagandists at district and commune levels, along with more than 50 reporters at provincial level, who have been taking on the role of a bridge between the Youth Union and young people and people on the propaganda front. Not only persistently innovating the content and form of propaganda, this force also directly supports people in improving their digital skills through practical models such as "Digital literacy", "Community digital technology team", or communication channels of the Youth Union at all levels. Youth is not only the leading force in spreading positive information, but also a solid support for people, especially in difficult areas, to avoid false and harmful information, and at the same time, master technology in daily life.
These efforts have been creating clear changes in the awareness and behavior of young people, while at the same time contributing to improving their resistance to the negative aspects of the online environment. More importantly, through specific and practical activities, the Youth Union at all levels has gradually affirmed its role as a force accompanying and leading young people on the journey to master technology, preserving their bravery and personality in the digital age.
