(Baonghean.vn) Vice Chairman of Quynh Luu District People's Committee - Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong shared: Quynh Luu is planning to build a clean vegetable production area using greenhouse technology in Quynh Luong, planning to pilot on an area of 10 hectares, then expand. Currently, supermarkets in Vinh such as BigC and Metro have raised the issue of buying clean vegetables, the district is striving to build a high-tech vegetable production area, meeting the strict requirements when "entering" the supermarket.
Mr. Ho Canh Sau - Chairman of Quynh Luong Commune People's Committee said: The whole commune currently has 180 hectares of vegetables for commercial production, supplying the market with about 100 tons of various vegetables every day. The production areas are planned in a concentrated manner, contiguous to each plot, thereby creating conditions for applying scientific and technological advances, bringing mechanization to the fields, and improving production efficiency.
Agriculture sector tests new rice varieties in Dien Chau
In Yen Thanh rice district, in recent years, the movement of converting land, bringing mechanization to the fields to serve the construction of concentrated and intensive commodity production areas has been promoted and developed quite vigorously. Mr. Nguyen Sy Hung - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee said: The district focuses on converting ineffective rice production areas in highland communes to color production and has initially formed specialized color areas in Thinh Thanh, Quang Thanh, Tay Thanh...
For rice, forming intensive rice cultivation areas for high productivity and quality, widely applying many advances in varieties with new varieties such as Nhi Uu 986, high quality varieties Bac Thom, BC15, AC5 ... In particular, the district has a policy to gradually form a safe vegetable belt capable of serving market demand, accordingly, it is expected that by 2015 there will be over 500 hectares of vegetables produced using safe vegetable technology, concentrated in areas near traffic routes, both having land funds to create concentrated production areas and being convenient for consumption and transportation.
Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development - Mr. Nguyen Tho Canh said: In recent years, the issue of converting crop structure, applying scientific and technological advances in varieties and investing in care has been carried out simultaneously in Nghe An province and achieved many remarkable results. However, to satisfy market demand, meet the increasing demand of consumers in terms of quality and food hygiene and safety, the only development direction of Nghe An agriculture is to gradually produce with high-tech processes, create concentrated commodity production areas with large volumes, while ensuring requirements on quality and safety.
In its orientation, the Department of Agriculture will present to the province a number of key agricultural products that meet the essential needs of consumers and Nghe An has advantages such as peanuts, vegetables, rice, etc., from which to gradually build high-tech production areas. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to the issue of ensuring food hygiene and safety, building brands of clean products, with origin, tested and committed to consumers on food hygiene and safety criteria. Only then can we enter demanding markets with high standards such as supermarkets, even countries in the European market, so that we can create high value for agricultural production.
In order to build agricultural production towards commodity production and high-tech application, in recent years, the movement of land conversion and land consolidation to create conditions for mechanization in the fields has developed strongly in the whole province, especially in the delta districts. Concentrated production areas have gradually been formed. Mr. Nguyen Tho Canh said: To successfully implement land consolidation, in the current practical conditions of our province, it is possible to implement the method of creating conditions for people to lease and sublease land. Individuals or groups with economic conditions and investment capacity will have the opportunity to own large areas of land, create concentrated commodity production areas, specialize in one type of crop, bring mechanization to the fields and apply scientific and technological advances to production, creating high-quality products.
Currently, the agricultural sector is planning to develop and submit a plan for the Ministry of Agriculture to submit to the Prime Minister for approval to build a high-tech agricultural production area, first of all in Phu Quy. If approved, enterprises currently investing in the production of raw materials such as sugarcane, peanuts, vegetables, etc. will have to proactively upgrade and supplement the conditions to become high-tech production enterprises. After this first planning area, model fields will be built, then expanded to larger areas, with the aim of forming high-tech agricultural production areas, although at present, they can only be built on a small scale.
Currently, in Nghe An, there are a number of high-tech agricultural models, bringing about very clear economic efficiency, typically the dairy cow farming and concentrated milk processing chain of TH Milk Company in Nghia Dan, besides the clean vegetable and fruit production model of this unit. However, with favorable natural conditions as well as the determination and facilitation of authorities at all levels, the construction of high-tech agricultural areas, products produced in a closed process chain is completely possible. In its planning, Nghe An advocates building these production areas on the basis of concentrated, specialized commodity production areas of the province such as peanut areas (Quynh Luu, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau), vegetable areas (Quynh Luu, Thai Hoa, Nghia Dan...), tea areas (Anh Son, Thanh Chuong, Con Cuong and Ky Son), rice areas (Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Nghi Loc, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong...)...
