The combined subject test has many difficult questions and is highly differentiated.
(Baonghean.vn) - After 150 minutes of taking the test, this morning, Nghe An students completed the second day of the 2023 High School Graduation Exam, which was a combination test of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.
The fact that the exam is highly differentiated seems to have been predicted.High school graduation exam 2023Therefore, at the exam site of Ha Huy Tap High School, after completing the combined exam, many candidates said that the exam was long and had difficult questions with high differentiation.

Talking about this year's exam, candidate Bui Duc Thang - applying for university admission in group D said: Although I am not majoring in Natural Sciences, I still reviewed very carefully and have a solid grasp of basic knowledge. Of the 3 subjects Physics - Chemistry - Biology, I found the Chemistry exam the most difficult, especially the high-level application questions, which I almost could not do and had to fill in the answers based on my judgment.

Physics is the subject I study the most but I still find it a bit difficult, especially the questions related to the last chapter in the program about atomic balance. In fact, we study and do more exercises in the first chapters such as waves, mechanical oscillations...
Biology exam, if non-major students read it, they can get 5 points. My goal is to get points for this subject for graduation, so I can't do the last questions of the exam.

Nguyen Van Dao, a candidate planning to apply to Vinh University, said that he found the Natural Science exam highly differentiated. For Chemistry, the score range of 5-8 points for graduation is not too difficult, and average students can do it if they study hard. However, to get a score of 9 or higher is not easy, the exam has about 8 very difficult questions.
In the Social Science group, candidate Nguyen Thi Bao Ngoc - a student at Nguyen Truong To High School said: Geography is the most difficult subject of the three subjects. Normally, the questions on the Geography Atlas are considered to give students points, but this year they are still difficult to find and time-consuming. I think the difficult questions are the questions identifying the form of the chart, some questions I read but did not really understand. Normally, we only learn to combine 2 charts, but this time the question combined 3 charts, even after finishing the test, talking with friends, they were not sure like me. Of the three subjects, besides Civic Education, I am also quite confident with History. I find that contrary to my previous worries, this year's History test is quite easy, the questions are in the curriculum, there are no questions to trick candidates.

Just coming back from the exam room, Dau Van Truong, at the exam council of Anh Son 1 High School, taking the Natural Science exam, said: “I found this year's exam to be within my ability, the questions were close to the content of our review, some questions were meant to differentiate students. All three subjects from question 30 onwards gradually increased in difficulty, requiring candidates to know how to apply basic knowledge from textbooks and expand and improve, so I also calculated very carefully. The time for each exam was 50 minutes and I took 3 subjects consecutively, so I was quite stressed. However, thanks to careful review, I did quite well on the test. I personally assessed that I got about 80% of the questions correct.

After completing the Social Science exam, many candidates at Anh Son 3 High School were happy because they did quite well. They said that the exam questions were not too difficult or complicated, and that they had learned all the knowledge.

Nguyen Thuy Linh, who took the Social Science exam, said: For History, there are questions that require high thinking and reasoning to classify students, while other questions are at a moderate level. The Geography and Civic Education exams were within her ability, with many questions close to reality. Although she felt quite pressured before the exam, thanks to her solid grasp of basic knowledge, she did relatively well in all three subjects and within the time limit.
At the exam site of Con Cuong High School, Lang Thanh Trung took the Social Science exam and said: The exam was moderate, not too difficult, the History subject was a bit long, requiring high thinking and reasoning, the other questions were moderate, however the content was close to our curriculum. The Geography and Civic Education subjects were relatively easy.

Commenting on the History subject, a teacher from Con Cuong High School said that the questions in the History exam were quite good. The knowledge in the exam closely followed the content of the textbook, similar to the sample exam of the Ministry of Education and Training. The questions focused mainly on the Vietnamese History section in the textbook program for grades 11 and 12. The exam did not have too many questions to puzzle students. With this exam, many candidates would get 5-6 points. Students with average academic ability could also achieve this score.

However, in the exam, there are about 7-8 questions at a difficult level. These are questions that differentiate students. To do well on these questions, candidates must read a lot, have knowledge, have a general view of the historical process, and have good thinking.
In the mountainous district of Quy Hop, candidates were all satisfied and rated "The exam questions were suitable for graduation".
According to some candidates at this testing site, both the Social Science and Natural Science exams were within their ability and not difficult. Candidates who had a solid basic review could easily achieve 7 or 8 points.

Candidate Nguyen Thi Anh Minh, who took the Social Science exam for university admission in group C, said that she did about 80% of the Geography questions, and the classification questions were at the end of the test. Candidate Cao Gia Minh, who also took the Social Science exam, said that the test was within the ability of group D. She did 90% of the History questions, and about 60-70% of the Geography and Civic Education questions.

Candidate Vi Thai Duong, class 12A3, Quy Hop High School, chose the Natural Science exam and said: I took the exam code 206 and was confident that I could get 7 points. But getting 8 points or higher is difficult, because from question 32 onwards, I could not do many questions.
After finishing the Natural Science and Social Science combined exam, many candidates at Thai Hoa assessed that the subjects of the Natural Science and Social Science combined exam were only easy to score points in the first few questions but the difficulty increased gradually in the last few questions.
“The Natural Science exam (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) is relatively easy, but the difficulty level increases towards the end, with a clear classification of students. The first 2/3 questions are quite easy, within basic knowledge, and can be solved by simply memorizing the lesson, while the remaining questions are advanced, requiring the application of knowledge and in-depth analysis to be able to do the test. The exam questions for these 3 subjects are very clear in classifying candidates and are very close to the sample exam questions issued by the Ministry of Education and Training,” said candidate Le Thi Tuyet, at the Tay Hieu High School exam site.

Candidate Nguyen Anh Vu, at Dong Hieu High School, registered for the Social Science subject group exam for graduation, said: “The exam is quite close to basic knowledge, Geography and Civic Education are quite easy. Geography is based on textbook knowledge, especially many questions applying Atlas, so it is not too difficult. Regarding Civic Education, it is mainly theory and reduces situational questions. I am confident that these two subjects must achieve above 7 points. With the History exam, the questions are quite diverse, requiring a solid grasp of knowledge, otherwise mistakes will be made and points will be lost.”
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training: In the third exam (Natural Science and Social Science exam), the 2023 high school graduation exam: Total number of candidates registered for the exam: 36,641, total number of candidates absent without reason: 52. No candidates violated exam regulations. No unusual incidents occurred. The exam took place normally, safely, and in accordance with regulations.
