Breakthrough with many outstanding achievements

The 2024-2025 school year is the school year that ends the first cycle of textbook replacement and is the first year of implementing exams according to the 2018 General Education Program, of which the most important is the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

With the new exam including competency assessment questions, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training pays special attention to accompanying schools in teaching and reviewing.

Before this exam, the Department established exam review consulting teams to 91/91 high schools to advise on building exam review plans, determining content, duration and appropriate review methods according to the target audience, exam subjects, and how to compile competency assessment questions.

In addition to organizing free direct mock exams to help students get familiar with the new exam, the Department has built an online mock exam system LMS according to the new exam structure with more than 10,000 questions for students to practice in all subjects.

The 2024-2025 school year is also the second year Nghe An has launchedemulation movement "90 days of determination to achieve high results in the 2025 high school graduation exam"; to concretize the movement "Teach well - Learn well" and the program "Department helps room, school helps school, subject helps subject".

In the context of the entire industry implementing Circular 29, the implementation of the movement has practical significance when all schools in the province volunteer to teach for free with thousands of tutoring and enrichment sessions for students.

With the participation of the entire industry and the efforts of schools, this year's exam season recorded the superiority of Nghe An Education sector when for the first time it rose to the first position in the country in both methods, calculated by average score and median score.

Of which, 8 subjects ranked in the top 10 nationwide in terms of average score, including: Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, English, and Agricultural Technology. Nghe An is also in the top 10 provinces and cities with the most 10 points, and many candidates with high university entrance scores nationwide. This is also the result after 5 years of persistently implementing the "quality assurance" model, and Nghe An is the pioneer province, the first to implement it nationwide.

Along with the general quality, last school year, Nghe An students continued to make their mark on the international arena when they brought home 7 medals in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Russian, with 4 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals. Of which, there were 2 prestigious Gold Medals at the International Physics and Mathematics Olympiad by Nguyen The Quan and Vo Trong Khai.

This is the most brilliant achievement of Nghe An Education sector in the past 10 years. In the National Excellent Student Competition, students of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted also won 96 prizes, including 9 first prizes. Students at all levels won many awards and medals at national competitions and tournaments, demonstrating the harmonious development between key education and mass education.

In addition to outstanding achievements in education, in the past school year, Nghe An was also a locality that continued to pioneer and lead the country in many areas. Notably, it advised on the promulgation of a specific policy of the province to support ethnic minority boarding schools; advised the Prime Minister on the decision to merge the Pedagogical College and change its name to Nghe An University; coordinated with the Provincial Police to quickly and effectively pilot the model of "Educating awareness of law compliance and life skills in schools".

The sector has also integrated and synchronously implemented major policies of the Party and State in the task of fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training in the province... Entering the 2025-2026 school year, the first school year integrating the synchronous implementation of major policies of the Party and State to make a breakthrough in fundamental and comprehensive innovation, sustainable development of education and training in Nghe An province; in the context of implementing a 2-level local government; so besides advantages, there are many difficulties and challenges.

The impact of storm No. 3 also caused many schools in the province to suffer severe damage. In the midst of difficulties, the entire Nghe An Education sector joined hands to overcome the storm and flood with many meaningful and practical actions to help schools initially overcome difficulties, stabilize classrooms soon, and ensure that the teaching plans of the schools are not interrupted.
