At the destinations, the delegation directly directed the leaders of communes, wards, and ferry owners and inland waterway vehicle owners to strictly implement measures to ensure safety for people and vehicles when floods occur.
The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee requested localities to urgently deploy safety plans, request vehicle owners to bring people and ships and boats to safe shelters, and absolutely not leave people on the vehicle. It is strictly forbidden to anchor vehicles in dangerous areas such as upstream of bridges, near river crossings, culverts, spillways, traffic and irrigation works to prevent collisions when flood waters rise.

Communes and wards must direct and guide boat owners to proactively have plans to tie up and anchor safely. At the same time, coordinate with traffic management units and functional forces to develop plans to ensure traffic safety at ferry terminals, especially in cases of high water and strong currents. Passenger vehicles are absolutely not allowed to operate in dangerous weather conditions.
In addition, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee also requested localities to proactively coordinate to check the locations of bridges, spillways, and frequently flooded roads, arrange guards, signal, and organize traffic flow to ensure traffic safety. Critical areas such as weak bridges, suspension bridges, and landslide-prone areas also need to be carefully inspected and have timely response plans to ensure safe and smooth traffic in all situations.
This inspection is within the framework of implementing Official Dispatch No. 4646/UBND-NC dated May 27, 2025 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on strengthening the work of ensuring order and safety of inland waterway traffic. This activity demonstrates the proactiveness and determination of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee in the work of preventing and combating natural disasters, protecting the lives and property of people in the area.
