(Baonghean.vn) - These days, in the sugarcane fields of the people of Boong village (Lang Khe commune - Con Cuong), the villagers bring knives, straw, and drive tire carts... to harvest sugarcane. From the elderly to the young men, everyone is bustling and bustling in the atmosphere of harvesting sugarcane. In the sugarcane fields that have been "blocked" completely, people surround trucks carrying sugarcane to load them onto the trucks and take them to the sugar factory.
Sugarcane is a new raw material crop that has “come to” Boong village in the past few years. Although it is not yet the main crop of the village, it has been and is bringing high economic efficiency to the people here. Currently, Boong village has 15 hectares of sugarcane, and it is planted along National Highway 7A. Although the price is somewhat lower than last year, sugarcane is still loved by the villagers because of its stable yield. Compared to previous years, when sugarcane “had not yet arrived”, people grew crops, some seasons were good, some were bad, and some seasons were completely lost due to pests and drought. So far, sugarcane is bringing good signs to the people.
