The Central Executive Committee of the Party opened the 2nd Conference (term XIII)
The 2nd Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee officially opened this morning (March 8) in Hanoi.

At this Conference, the Central Committee will review and discuss: The full-term working program of the 13th Central Executive Committee; the introduction of senior leadership personnel of State agencies and a number of other important issues.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, on behalf of the Politburo, the Secretariat, General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong warmly welcomed the Central Executive Committee members and Central Inspection Committee members who attended the Conference and sent the best wishes to the participants.
The conference took place in an atmosphere where the whole country was celebrating the Spring Festival, celebrating the great success of the 13th National Party Congress and actively implementing socio-economic development tasks; preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, etc.; while urgently preparing to successfully conduct the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
According to General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, since the 13th National Party Congress, the Politburo has urgently directed the completion and publication of the Congress documents; prepared to issue the Politburo's Directive on studying, learning, thoroughly grasping, propagating and implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; prepared to develop working regulations, along with a number of other important contents.
The Politburo also approved the working program of the Politburo and Secretariat in 2021; carried out a step-by-step assignment of Politburo and Secretariat members; initially arranged and rearranged personnel in a number of central agencies; at the same time, actively prepared to introduce personnel under the Central Committee's management to run for the 15th National Assembly; and discussed the implementation of a number of regimes and policies for cadres.
General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized: “The time for this conference is expected to be short, and the work is very urgent. I request that Central Committee members promote a high sense of responsibility, concentrate their intelligence, and contribute ideas to make the conference a great success.”
