The delegation visited and worked with the Border Guard Station at Thanh Thuy border gate, the Border Guard Station at Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port (Nghe An Border Guard), and Squadron 102 (Command of Coast Guard Region 1). Accordingly, in 2017, security and order in border areas and coastal areas were basically maintained, all types of crimes were contained, preventing the formation of transnational smuggling rings and gangs; drug crimes and human trafficking crimes in the area were basically controlled and eradicated.

The units have seriously implemented the above directives and documents, preventing and handling smuggling activities; promptly arresting and handling illegal exploitation and transportation of coal, petroleum, minerals, etc. In addition, the units have also closely coordinated with functional agencies such as: Customs, Police, Forestry, Market Management, etc. to improve work efficiency.

Speaking during the working trip, Major General Nguyen Van Nam highly appreciated the results achieved by officers and soldiers of the units in performing the tasks of preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud and corruption.

Major General Nguyen Van Nam also requested that units proactively coordinate closely and smoothly with other forces in performing their tasks; effectively combat smuggling and trade fraud, especially preventing firecrackers, especially during the upcoming Lunar New Year.

At the same time, step up measures to propagate, educate, and disseminate the law to the people, not allowing people to assist the subjects; strengthen the education and management of officers and soldiers, and do a good job of protecting internal politics. In addition, take care to prepare for the Lunar New Year of Mau Tuat to ensure joy, safety, savings, and high combat readiness.
