Nghe An Province Veterans Association visits and gives gifts to policy families and meritorious people

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on April 16, a delegation of the Veterans Association led by Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi visited and presented gifts to policy families and meritorious people in Nam Dan and Thanh Chuong districts.

In Nam Dan district, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Pham Thi Tam (born in 1933) in Nam Tan commune, Nam Dan district; In Thanh Chuong district, the delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Nam (born in 1927) in Thanh Linh commune; Vietnamese Heroic Mother Thai Thi Yem (born in 1929) in Thanh Thinh commune and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Lan (born in 1930) in Thanh Phong commune.

Here, the Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association, Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi kindly inquired about the health of the mothers, and thanked the sacrifices of the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers - those who silently sacrificed, worked hard to raise and dedicate their beloved children to the Fatherland to build peace and unify the country. He wished the mothers to always live happily, live healthily, and always be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren. At the same time, he encouraged their children and grandchildren to continue promoting the revolutionary tradition, exemplary in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

Visiting and giving gifts to war invalids Nguyen Van Linh, born in 1949 in Mai Giang commune, Thanh Chuong district, and war invalids Nguyen Van Hung, born in 1946 in Dung town, Thanh Chuong district, on behalf of the working delegation, Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi expressed his deep gratitude to the war invalids who devoted their youth to the struggle for national liberation and reunification and left a part of their flesh and blood on the battlefield.

The Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association affirmed that Nghe An is a land rich in revolutionary tradition, with many contributions in terms of both human and material resources to the struggles for national liberation and national reunification. The whole province has over 45,000 martyrs, many of whom have not yet been found and have not yet been identified by name or hometown; nearly 53,000 wounded and sick soldiers and thousands of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

Today's and future generations always remember and pay tribute to the sacrifices of heroic martyrs; wounded and sick soldiers - those who spent their youth fighting and serving in combat, leaving a part of their bodies on the battlefields, for the sacred Fatherland, for the independence and freedom of the country, and the happiness of the people.
