Northwest Steering Committee inspects the implementation results of Resolution 30a in Ky Son

(Baonghean) -To evaluate the results after 2 years of implementing Resolution 30a of the Government, on June 9, the Northwest Steering Committee led by comrade Dinh Van Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Northwest Steering Committee had a working session with the leaders of Ky Son district (Nghe An).

Also attending were leaders of the ministries: Planning and Investment, Finance, Transport and the National Assembly Committee for Ethnic Minorities.

Ky Son is one of the 62 poorest and most disadvantaged districts in the country. After 2 years of implementing the Government's Program 30a, the district's economy and society have had significant changes, and people's lives have been improved. The entire district has eliminated nearly 2,300 makeshift bamboo houses according to Decision 167 of the Prime Minister with a total capital of over 54 billion VND. Regarding agricultural and forestry development, Ky Son focuses on investing in items such as forest care and protection, afforestation, providing rice to poor households, preventing diseases for livestock and poultry, and increasing young intellectual cadres with technical expertise for communes.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Dinh Van Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the direction and implementation of Resolution 30a of Nghe An province in general and Ky Son district in particular. He emphasized that Ky Son needs to focus on promoting its existing potential and advantages; promote forest planting and development, enhance the application of science and technology in livestock production; focus on border security work and protection; care for and look after the lives of the people.
