Ban Chieng recognized as Cultural Village
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 13, Chieng village - Tri Le commune (Que Phong) held a ceremony to receive the title of cultural village 2012. This is the village that the Provincial Ethnic Committee has sponsored, helped to build criteria and develop the local economy, culture and society.
Chieng village currently has 74 households, 366 people, 100% of whom are Thai ethnic people. The village party cell has 19 party members; mass organizations maintain activities and regularly organize activities to create movements for their organizations. Every year, the average income per capita increases, leading to an increase in the number of well-off and rich households, and a decrease in the number of poor households. Currently, 61% of households in the village have achieved the title of cultural family, an increase of 15% compared to 2010.
The Party and State's policies and laws are regularly disseminated by the village executive committee. Therefore, since 2010, no family has violated social evils; the implementation of village conventions and regulations has been followed by households, and backward customs have been gradually eliminated.
Comrade Kha Van Tam - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee awarded the certificate of recognition as a cultural village to Chieng village.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Yen - Deputy Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee gave gifts to the village.
Recognizing the efforts and achievements, comrade Kha Van Tam - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee awarded the certificate of recognition of the title of cultural village in 2012 to the executive committee and people of Chieng village. On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Yen - former Chairman of the District People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee presented gifts and encouraged the people of Chieng village to continue to maintain the title of cultural village, striving to achieve the title of provincial-level cultural village./.
