Tuong Duong District Military Command helps people overcome the consequences of hail

(Baonghean.vn) –At 5:00 p.m. on March 30, in Tuong Duong district (Nghe An), hail and tornadoes occurred, causing a lot of damage. Pung and Luu Kien villages in Luu Kien commune suffered quite heavy damage, with over 80 houses collapsed and their roofs blown off.

Colonel Vang Thanh Hai - Commander of the Military Command of Tuong Duong district, said: After receiving the news, that same night, the unit urgently mobilized the forces on duty on the day off at the barracks, the district's mobile militia force and the local militia force to go to the scene to help people search and collect property swept away by the tornado, temporarily stabilize places to eat, rest and patrol to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, and at the same time, telegraphed the number of officers on leave to quickly return to the unit to coordinate with other forces of the district to help people.

Officers of the Tuong Duong Military Command along with local forces helped people in Pung village re-roof their houses after hail and tornadoes passed.

The District Military Command arranged teams of soldiers, militia, and other forces to go to each house to help people, mobilizing each household to support each other with materials, and houses with less damage supported those with more damage. By nearly 1 p.m., more than 80 houses had been re-roofed and reinforced against collapse, helping people stabilize their lives.
