Vinh City Military Command: Helping people in the religious areas build new rural roads

(Baonghean.vn) - On September 25, Vinh City Military Command organized a field trip to help people in the parish of hamlet 7, Hung Chinh commune, Hung Nguyen district build new rural roads.

During this field trip, the Vinh City Military Command mobilized over 40 people including officers and soldiers of the unit, the commune militia force, in coordination with local organizations and people in the hamlet to organize the construction of concrete roads according to new rural standards in hamlet 7, Hung Chinh commune, Hung Nguyen district.

Hamlet 7, Hung Chinh commune has over 130 households, mainly Catholics, whose lives are still difficult. After a day of urgent construction, the army and people have completed a 500m long, 4.5m wide, 16cm thick road. However, because the road is still quite long, in addition to mobilizing internal resources, the people's support is needed to complete the criteria for building roads according to the new rural construction program.

The practical and effective work of officers and soldiers of Vinh City Military Command has been making an important contribution to the implementation of the New Rural Development Program in the area. This work has left a deep impression of the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people as well as building and strengthening the solidarity and attachment between the unit and the locality.
