There are two main types of diabetes: type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes:

It can be treated with diet and oral medications but may also require insulin treatment. Type 2 diabetes is more common than type 1, accounting for about 75-85% of all diabetic patients.

Thirsty:In people with diabetes, blood becomes thicker: the more water they drink, the thinner the blood becomes.

High blood sugar:You can use a machine to measure your blood sugar. These machines can be easily purchased at a pharmacy.

Fatigue and weakness:In people with diabetes, sugar stays in the blood and does not enter the cells, so they feel low in energy.

Frequent urination:When you have diabetes, your kidneys can't filter sugar from your blood, so they try to get extra fluid from your blood to help dissolve the sugar. This causes your bladder to fill up frequently.

Rapid weight loss or gain:Weight loss in type I diabetes. Weight gain in type II diabetes.

Numbness in toes and hands:This phenomenon occurs if blood sugar levels are high and it destroys the nervous system.
