Central Relief Committee supports Nghe An people with 1.2 billion VND
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 18, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front had a working session with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Relief Committee on flood relief work in Nghe An province.
Comrade Vu Trong Kim - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired the meeting.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front donated 1.2 billion VND to support people in flood-hit areas of Nghe An province.
According to the report of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, from September to now, storms No. 8, No. 10 and No. 11 accompanied by heavy rain have caused 23 deaths and missing people, with estimated damage of nearly 2 trillion VND. As of October 16, 2013, the province has received assistance and support from more than 300 units and individuals (of which 74 units and individuals supported through the Provincial Relief Committee; 22 units and individuals directly supported Hoang Mai town and Quynh Luu district) with a total value of over 20 billion VND.
At the meeting, comrade Vu Trong Kim shared the damage and loss of Nghe An province after the recent storms, and requested the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to focus on coordinating with member organizations to respond to the call for support for flood victims of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, organize timely visits and relief, and call on organizations and individuals to support flood victims; requested the Provincial Relief Committee to increase human resources for receiving, supervising and allocating relief money and goods so that the relief work is timely, appropriate to the circumstances, and appropriate to the subjects.
On this occasion, comrade Vu Trong Kim presented the decision to transfer 1.2 billion VND from the Central Relief Committee to support flood victims in Nghe An province.
