Handing over the renovation project of Kaysone Phomvihane Museum to Laos
(Baonghean.vn) - Today, March 24, 2014, in the capital Vientiane, Laos, Ho Chi Minh Museum and the Management Board of Lao National Monuments held a handover ceremony for the "Overall project to renovate the Caysone Phomvihane Museum" to the Lao side.
Attending the event were representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, leaders of the Central Office and the Central Foreign Affairs Commission of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, and relevant units from Vietnam and Laos.

Mr. Chu Duc Tinh, Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum and Mr. Souvandi Sysavath, Deputy Chief of the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party signed the minutes of handover of the project to the Lao side for management, exploitation and use.

Overall project to renovate the Caysone Phomvihane Museum |
This is a level 2 project, investing in 18 additional items, repairing and upgrading the spacious Cay-son phom-vi-han Museum, to be worthy of the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos, from the capital of the Vietnamese Government for Laos, with a total value of more than 17 billion VND.
The 18 renovation items include repairing the outdoor stairs behind the Museum; repairing the doors and all the patterns on all four sides of the house; painting the inside and outside walls of the Museum; constructing, adjusting and adding fine art images, renewing the clusters of symbols and the entire Museum grounds as well as adjusting the exhibition rooms... to highlight the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos, contributing to educating the traditions for generations of Vietnam and Laos.
The Cay-son-phom-vi-han Museum is a center for educating the traditional history of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party associated with the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos; preserving the revolutionary values that generations of leaders have devoted to the country and people of Laos.
