Handing over a house of gratitude to seriously wounded soldier Vo An Dinh

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 29, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command coordinated with the local Party Committee and authorities of Quynh Long commune and the Quynh Luu District Military Command to inaugurate and hand over a gratitude house to comrade Vo An Dinh in Minh Thanh village, Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu district.

Comrade Vo An Dinh is a seriously wounded soldier, class 1/4. During the war against the US to save the country, he directly participated in fighting in many battlefields at home and abroad such as the Binh Tri Thien battlefield, the Tay Nguyen front, the Lao battlefield. He was wounded while fighting in 1965 and 1969 at the Tay Nguyen front. Comrade Vo An Dinh was awarded the Liberation Soldier Medal, the Resistance War Against the US to Save the Country medal, class 2 and class 3 by the President. Currently, his family's life is facing many difficulties.

Representatives of the Party Committee and Military Command of Quynh Luu district presented gifts to the family.

The IV Military Region Command supported the cost of building a gratitude house for the comrade's family. The house was solidly built; the usable area is about 50m2, the total cost of building the house is nearly 200 million VND, of which the IV Military Region Command donated 60 million VND, the local government of Quynh Long commune donated 5 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family and relatives. At the handover ceremony, the Party Committee of the Military Command, the Fatherland Front Committee of the district, the departments, branches and unions of Quynh Long commune and the Minh Thanh village executive committee presented the family of comrade Vo An Dinh with some essential items for daily life.
