After nearly 4 years of construction, the 104,000-ton ship has just completed the hull, installed some main equipment, and completed 40% of the work volume that was then under Vinashin Group. Since July 1, 2010, after the unit was transferred to the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, DQS Company has stabilized its organization, determined to complete the ship as committed to the ship owner, the Oil and Gas Transportation Joint Stock Corporation - PV Trans, meeting all requirements according to design and technique.
DQS Company is focusing its forces to continue building crude oil tankers with a capacity of 105,000 tons. Since the beginning of the year, the Company has completed the repair and delivery of Hoang Sa, Con Son, and Truong Sa ships, which have been highly appreciated by customers. In April 2012, QDS Company received the Vietsovpetro 001 (VSP 01) ship with a length of 262 meters, a width of 46 meters, a height of 23.9 meters, and a capacity of 154,146 tons of oil. This is the largest floating oil export storage ship that DQS has ever repaired. It is expected that this ship will be delivered to the owner Vietsovpetro in mid-July.
