Issuing Decree on conferring titles and regimes on artisans
On June 25, the Prime Minister officially signed a Decree regulating the awarding of the titles of People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan in the field of intangible cultural heritage.

According to the Decree, those who are eligible for the title of People's Artisan must be loyal to the Fatherland, dedicated and passionate about their profession, have exceptionally excellent professional talent, have made great contributions, and are typical of the cause of protecting and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage nationwide..., have worked in the profession for 20 years or more and have been awarded the title of Meritorious Artisan by the State...
Those who are eligible for the title of Meritorious Artisan are similar to those of Folk Artisans and have been working in the profession for 15 years or more...
Those who are awarded the title of People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan, according to the Decree, will be awarded the title, a certificate from the President along with a bonus. For low-income and disadvantaged Artisans, they will receive monthly allowances according to Government regulations. The Decree also stipulates the obligations that People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan must fulfill.
The titles of People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan will be considered and awarded by the Council at three levels: Provincial Council, Ministry-level specialized Council and State-level Council.
The Decree also stipulates the procedures and records for considering the award of these two titles.
