Issue a decision on compensation regime for fisheries control force
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has just signed a Decision regulating the seafaring allowance regime for fisheries inspectors, fishing vessel crew members and those performing fisheries inspection duties.

Accordingly, fisheries inspectors, crew members of fisheries inspection vessels, civil servants, public employees and workers at units under the Fisheries Inspection Department, those assigned by competent authorities to participate in performing fisheries inspection tasks at sea; and those assigned by agencies and units to coordinate in performing tasks on fisheries inspection vessels are entitled to a seafaring allowance of VND 150,000/person/day.
The funding source for implementing the seafaring allowance regime prescribed in this Decision is arranged in the state budget estimate according to the provisions of the State Budget Law.
The Prime Minister also requested the Fisheries Surveillance Department and agencies and units sending officers to coordinate the implementation of tasks on Fisheries Surveillance vessels to be responsible for paying seafaring allowances to the above subjects.
The Decision takes effect from March 1, 2015./.
