Discussing the socio-economic development plan and budget estimate for 2014

The report of the Department of Planning and Investment shows that: Although still affected by the general difficulties of the domestic and global economy, in the first 6 months of the year, the economic growth rate is estimated at 5.42%; of which, agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 4.33%, industry - construction increased by 2.36%, services increased by 8.36%. State budget revenue is estimated at 2,787.8 billion VND, reaching 49.7% of the estimate, up 15.2% over the same period. Budget expenditure in the first 6 months of the year was 7,247.96 billion VND, reaching 48.7% of the estimate. Although the economic growth rate in the first 6 months of this year is higher than the same period last year, it is still lower than the economic growth rate compared to recent years. Therefore, the last 6 months of the year need to accelerate and make efforts to complete the set targets.

The conference also heard the dissemination of Directive No. 16/CT-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on building a socio-economic development plan, building the State budget estimate for 2014 and discussed the socio-economic development plan for the year.
Concluding the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong said that in the last 6 months of 2013 and 2014, the global economy continued to be complicated, recovering slowly and unstable, the domestic economic situation still faced many difficulties. Therefore, to ensure the completion of the State budget revenue target in 2014 and the socio-economic development plan according to the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council, he requested that departments, branches and districts proactively grasp the policies of the State, ministries and branches to develop and protect the 2014 plan accurately and effectively.
In addition to striving to complete the tasks set out in 2013, all levels and sectors need to organize and immediately implement tasks for the entire term based on the analysis of each goal, target, and task according to the Congress Resolution and some orientations in the coming time. In addition, focus on removing difficulties in economic development and attracting effective investment.
