Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council deploys tasks for 2015

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 9, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting to evaluate the results of activities in 2014 and deploy tasks in 2015.

Comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.

In 2014, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council closely followed the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council and the annual work program, and the local practical situation to select difficult issues, shortcomings, and limitations related to the economic sector to conduct appropriate thematic supervision and surveys.

Specifically, the Board has chaired the supervision and survey of 7 meetings on the implementation status and results of investment attraction activities, investment projects attracted to Nghe An in the 3 years 2010 - 2013; the implementation of State regulations on management and protection of mineral resources in the province; survey on the situation of land use, land handover, land lease of agricultural and forestry companies, Youth Volunteer Force; survey on the implementation of borrowing and buying cement on credit to build rural roads to implement new rural areas; survey on the situation and progress of the implementation of the suspension bridge construction plan, the management and maintenance of the suspension bridge system in the province....

In addition, the Board also participated with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council in supervising 2 thematic meetings; supervising at the meeting, monitoring and urging the handling of the Board's recommendations after the supervision sessions. The activities of examining reports, draft resolutions submitted at the meetings and issues arising between the 2 meetings submitted by the Provincial People's Committee for comments were innovated and improved in quality. During the year, the Board examined 22 reports, draft submissions and resolutions. The Board also actively advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to select the contents to be questioned at the meetings of the Provincial People's Council.

Deputy Head of the Economic and Human Resources Department Tran Quoc Chung outlined some key tasks in 2015.

At the meeting, the members of the Committee also frankly reviewed some limitations in their activities, such as the lack of close coordination between the monitoring team and some units being monitored and surveyed; the limited implementation of recommendations from the monitoring teams; reporting and providing information on the results of direction, handling and resolution by the Provincial People's Committee and the units being monitored have not received due attention. The monitoring, resolution and implementation of recommendations after monitoring have not been regular.

Regarding the tasks for 2015, on the basis of closely following the key tasks of the province, the programs, plans, and resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, the Economic - Budget Committee has clearly defined its tasks with the set goal of contributing to promoting the province's economic development, while solving existing problems and shortcomings.
