(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 7, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee offered incense and planted a memorial tree at the Nghe Tinh Soviet Memorial (Hung Nguyen district).

Attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Ho Le Ngoc - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee. On the side of Hung Nguyen district leaders, there was comrade Hoang Van Phi - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the District Party Committee.

Officials and staff of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee and leaders of Hung Nguyen district offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs.

The Nghe Tinh Soviet Memorial is located in Hung Nguyen District, where the historic event of September 12, 1930 took place. 85 years ago, more than eight thousand people of Hung Nguyen District, together with the people of Nam Kim Commune, Nam Dan District, beat drums, waved flags, and demonstrated for freedom and independence. The Nghe Tinh Soviet was the first uprising under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam since its inception and is considered the peak of the revolutionary movement in the years 1930 - 1931.

In a solemn atmosphere, cadres and staff of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department offered incense to commemorate and pay tribute to the Soviet children who fell during the 1930-1931 movement.

On this occasion, officers and staff of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department also planted souvenir trees in the Memorial grounds.
