The Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee works in Quynh Luu district

(Baonghean.vn) - In order to survey and prepare the content of the 14th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council, on June 10, the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee worked with the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district on the implementation of traffic safety and order in the first 6 months of the year and tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2015.

In the first 6 months of the year, the District People's Committee and the District Traffic Safety Committee have advised on the issuance of 12 official dispatches, 5 plans, 1 decision and inspection documents. The district has had 8 traffic accidents, killing 7 people and injuring 2 people. Compared to the same period in 2014, there were 3 fewer cases, 2 fewer deaths and 2 fewer injuries. Traffic collisions have also been well resolved, without lingering or dragging on, and there have been no complaints or petitions. Since the beginning of the year, the district police have conducted 352 patrols and inspections with nearly 1,400 officers participating; detected, handled and recorded 2,433 cases, fined nearly 2,200 cases, and paid nearly 1.2 billion VND to the State Treasury. The district has also actively attracted investment, overcome difficulties and obstacles, focused on directing the acceleration of progress and quality of key traffic works, as well as constructing traffic projects according to approved plans.

At the meeting, members of the traffic safety committee of Quynh Luu district gave many comments to clarify the results achieved and the shortcomings and limitations in the report on the implementation of traffic safety work in the first 6 months of 2015. In addition, the members also proposed solutions to ensure good traffic safety work in the last 6 months of the year, which are: Continue to promote propaganda, dissemination and education of laws on traffic safety with many appropriate forms so that cadres, party members and people understand and clearly perceive the dangers of traffic accidents; strengthen patrolling, controlling and handling violations; continue to organize forces to coordinate with traffic management units to focus on clearing traffic corridors, roadsides and sidewalks on all routes; request superiors to support funding for maintenance of some degraded routes in the district...

The monitoring delegation highly appreciated the results of traffic safety work that Quynh Luu district has achieved in the first 6 months of the year.
