The Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee reviews reports of the internal affairs sector.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of June 29, the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee examined a number of reports from internal affairs sectors. Comrade Nguyen Huu Lam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee chaired the meeting.

Comrade Nguyen Huu Lam concluded a number of issues related to the examined contents.

At the meeting, members of the Legal Affairs Committee and a number of related sectors reviewed the report on citizen reception and complaint and denunciation settlement in the first 6 months of the year. The issues of concern were clarified regarding the situation of citizen reception; the number of complaints and denunciations by citizens decreased; the rate of settlement of complaints and denunciations by citizens was lower than the same period. At the same time, the reasons for some long-standing cases were clarified, in which the main reason was that although the case had been resolved by competent authorities in accordance with the law, the citizens did not accept it.

Concluding the review of this content, comrade Nguyen Huu Lam requested the Provincial Inspectorate to accept and edit the contents that members of the Legal Committee had commented on in order to report with better quality and to evaluate this work more comprehensively in the first 6 months of 2013. He requested the Provincial People's Committee to continue researching to upgrade the headquarters and improve the work of receiving people to increase efficiency in the coming time.

Members of the Legal Committee questioned the Provincial Inspectorate on issues related to the industry's operations.

Regarding the report on anti-corruption work in the first 6 months of the year and solutions for the last 6 months of the year, comrade Nguyen Huu Lam affirmed that this is a difficult field that requires perseverance and decisive measures from many sectors and levels from central to local levels. In the coming time, there will continue to be many good preventive measures, avoiding formalities, and at the same time strictly handling violations.

Also in this meeting, the Legal Committee reviewed two reports evaluating the first six months of the year's activities of the Court and the Procuracy.
