Attracted 23 projects with total registered investment capital of VND 5,244 billion

In 2020, on the basis of closely following the tasks assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the Party Committee of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board has led and directed the professional implementation of professional tasks effectively.

Notably, the unit has proactively advised the Provincial People's Committee to adjust and expand the spatial planning and invest in building infrastructure for the economic zone. Proposing the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council a resolution to adjustland price listspecifically for industrial parks in the Southeast Economic Zone; associated with proposing and advising on a number of policies on land prices, attracting investment in the direction of creating convenience, stability and increasing the attractiveness and competitiveness of the economic zone; at the same time, proactively implementing domestic investment promotion activities.

As a result of investment attraction, in 2020, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board advised the Provincial People's Committee to decide on investment policies and grant investment registration certificates to 23 projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 5,244 billion; of which, there were 9 FDI projects with registered investment capital of more than 165 million USD.

15 projects adjusted to increase capital, registered investment capital increased by more than 6,848 billion VND, of which 9 FDI projects adjusted to increase capital by more than 111 million USD.

The total number of employees in factories and production facilities in the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks is more than 23,630, including 429 foreign employees.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Agencies Party Committee highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and achievements of the Party Committee of the Economic Board of the Southeast Economic Zone in 2020.

Emphasizing that 2021 is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the 5-year economic development plan (2021 - 2025), the Secretary of the Provincial Agencies Party Committee requested the Party Committee of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board to continue building a united and consensus bloc, proactively implementing the board's task plan, in which, paying attention to identifying the key points of the entire term, on that basis, specifically delegating each year to direct more drastically, innovate, create, and promote more strongly.

Regarding specific tasks, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc also requested the Party Committee of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board to continue to lead the professional advice to the province to perfect the mechanism and policies to support investment promotion; promote administrative reform, especially administrative procedures, and apply information technology in all activities from professional to Party building and organization and union work.

Pay attention to completing the synchronous infrastructure in the industrial zones of the economic zone; training local human resources and attracting high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of the economic zone; continue to review the overall planning of the economic zone and the planning of functional sub-zones with the overall socio-economic planning of the province.

In Party building work, take care of Party building and rectification, especially continuing to effectively implement Resolution 4 of the Central Committee and Directive 05 of the Politburo, implementing regulations on setting an example, self-reflection, and self-correction of cadres and Party members, especially leaders; take care of building organizations, unions, and building cultural agencies.

The Party Committee of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board also needs to actively participate in propaganda and mobilization for the establishment of Party organizations and the development of Party members in private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises; develop, consolidate and improve the effectiveness of trade union activities in enterprises in the Southeast Economic Zone.
