K+ representative just spoke up about the information that they will replace VTV to negotiate to buy the copyright of World Cup 2018.

K+ satellite digital television has just denied the information that this station is negotiating to buy the copyright of the 2018 World Cup.

There are only 10 days left until the biggest football festival on the planet takes place, but Vietnam is the only country in the world that has not yet obtained the broadcasting rights to the World Cup. With VTV still not making any move to obtain the rights, fans have expected K+ to negotiate to quickly bring the World Cup to Vietnam.

Previously, K+ owned the broadcasting rights for 13 pre-World Cup friendly matches from May 29 to June 12. In the June broadcast schedule, they also announced the schedule for reporting the matches of the 2018 World Cup. But up to this point, everything has only stopped at the level of rumors.

And recently, K+ has "poured cold water" on fans nationwide.

In the latest sharing, VTV Deputy General Director Nguyen Thanh Luong said that Vietnam Television has not yet obtained the World Cup copyright as everything is still on the negotiation table. VTV is the unit assigned by the Pay TV Association (VNPayTV) to negotiate the purchase of the 2018 World Cup television copyright.

The 2018 World Cup will take place from June 14 to July 15 at 12 stadiums across Russia.
