Selling fake cancer medicine for 5 million VND a box

Buying fake drugs from abroad, Doanh printed packaging to "magically" turn them into genuine products, selling them for 3-5 million VND per box.

The Investigation Police Agency (Hanoi Police) has just initiated a case and arrested Nguyen Cong Doanh (36 years old, MIDU Pharma Company) to investigate the act of selling fake drugs.

According to the investigation, Doanh established MIDU Pharma Company, rented a printing facility in Hoang Mai district to design packaging and labels for cancer treatment drugs and functional foods supporting cancer treatment under the Cuban brand Vidatox.

Businesses smuggled fake drugs from abroad, then "magically" put them in new packaging and sold them at many drug stores around Hanoi.

In addition to the 20 boxes of fake medicine caught in Doanh's trunk, at his residence, the police also seized hundreds of boxes labeled Vidatox and many fake pills.

At the police station, Doanh confessed that he knew many people with serious illnesses needed medicine, so he sold this item. He advertised the price of each box of medicine at 3-5 million VND.
