(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 24, under the chairmanship of comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee organized the approval of the 28th Nghi Loc District Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term.

Also attending were comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors.

The draft political report of the 27th term Party Executive Committee of Nghi Loc district presented to the 28th District Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term clearly stated: During the past term, the Party Committee and people of Nghi Loc district have strived to achieve many important results in all fields. The average growth rate in 5 years reached 9.25%. The economic structure has shifted towards increasing the proportion of industry and services, reducing the proportion of agriculture from 29.8% to 23%. The total social investment capital reached nearly 9,000 billion VND. The whole district currently has 2 communes recognized as meeting new rural standards and strives to have 7/29 communes meeting new rural standards by the end of 2015.

In addition, the district's socio-culture has many positive changes, the material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved. National defense and security are ensured, socio-politics are basically stable. Party building work has many positive changes, the fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations and the quality of Party members in special areas continue to be improved.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Nghi Loc district to strengthen state management work.

However, during the past term, Nghi Loc's economic growth was not sustainable, 4/7 economic targets were not completed, agricultural commodity production was not clear, industry and construction were still small in scale; education quality was still slow to change, the third child birth rate was still high, the unemployment rate was still high...

Comrade Nguyen Huu Lam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board emphasized that Nghi Loc needs to strengthen economic development connections with the Southeast Economic Zone.

Entering the new term, Nghi Loc District Party Committee has set out the following key directions, goals and tasks: Improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party, promoting the strength of the national solidarity bloc. Focusing on mobilizing all resources to invest in comprehensive development of all fields of industry, services and tourism. Continuing to improve the material and spiritual life of the people; maintaining national defense and security, and a strong political system. Striving to become one of the fairly developed districts of the province by 2020.

At the working session, delegates discussed and contributed many ideas suggesting Nghi Loc district to supplement and adjust a number of indicators and solutions to the congress's political report to match the district's potential and advantages.
