Tien Tieu is a border village of Ky Son district in particular and Nghe An province in general, along Highway 7A. This is the residence of 165 households, most of whom are Mong ethnic people. In recent times, by implementing emulation movements well, especially the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", Tien Tieu village, Nam Can commune has united to compete in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, crop restructuring, and gradually applied scientific and technical advances in livestock and crop production. Thanks to that, the number of well-off and rich households has increased, the number of poor households has gradually decreased, the village has 83 households achieving the title of Cultural Family and 5 households have been recognized as typical cultural families.
