The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department congratulates Squadron 137 on the traditional day of the Vietnam People's Army.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 21, a delegation from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department came to present flowers to congratulate Squadron 137 under the Naval Region I Command on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 32nd anniversary of National Defense Day.
Squadron 137 was established on June 6, 2005, stationed in Phuc Tho commune (Nghi Loc). The unit is under the Navy Region 1, with the tasks of combat readiness, combat training, patrolling, managing, protecting sea and island sovereignty; participating in storm and flood prevention, search and rescue; coordinating with relevant forces to organize propaganda, dissemination, and legal education for fishermen in assigned sea areas.

Along with performing well the task of maintaining the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, every year, officers and soldiers of Squadron 137 have provided fresh water, vegetables, first aid for injuries, anchoring to avoid storms, and search and rescue at sea for hundreds of fishing boats. The unit also regularly coordinates with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and local Party committees and authorities to organize propaganda activities on protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
On this occasion, representatives of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Phuc Tho commune, Nghi Loc district also congratulated Squadron 137 on the traditional day of the Vietnam People's Army.
