Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department offers incense to commemorate heroic martyrs in Quang Tri
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 5, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department led by comrade Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held a ceremony to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs in Quang Tri.
This is a source-returning activity on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day and the 93rd anniversary of the Party's Propaganda Sector's traditional day.
The delegation came to offer flowers and incense in memory of the deceased.Heroicmartyrs at Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery (Quang Tri) - where more than 10,200 martyrs' graves are gathered, including 1,297 martyrs' graves who are children of Nghe An province and Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery - where nearly 9,500 martyrs' graves are gathered, including 220 martyrs from Nghe An.
The delegation also offered flowers and incense at Quang Tri Citadel, paying tribute to the heroic martyrs who fell in the 81-day and night battle in 1972 to protect the Citadel and Quang Tri Town during the resistance war against the US to save the country.
At the destinations, the delegation expressed their respect and infinite gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who devoted their lives to the revolutionary cause, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, the happiness of the people and promised to always uphold the revolutionary tradition, strive to fulfill all tasks well, contribute to building a clean and strong Party organization, and make Nghe An province increasingly prosperous, beautiful and civilized./.
