Earlier, on the morning of March 10, a group of 4 subjects rode many motorbikes, roaming around many streets in Ho Chi Minh City to "hunt". They discovered and followed Mr. NVT (born in 1965, living in District 10) driving a SH motorbike carrying employees on the road, in his right pocket he had hidden a stack of 50 million VND.
Near Binh Thuan Bridge, National Highway 1, Binh Hung Hoa A Ward, Binh Tan District, Mr. T drove his employees to pull over at a store. Suddenly, a group of 4 people on 3 motorbikes rushed in, staging a traffic collision.
Then Nhat quickly picked Mr. T's pocket, took the money and escaped. The other accomplices also quickly escaped. It is worth mentioning that they also took and seized Mr. T's car key, in case he discovered the missing money, shouted and chased after him.
However, the pickpocketing incident was under the surveillance of the Special Criminal Investigation Team, under the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes, who discovered the group of suspicious subjects while traveling on the road and followed them.
After committing the crime, the group gathered at a coffee shop near Kenh Te Bridge, District 4, when special criminal investigators secretly spread a net and raided to arrest the entire group along with the evidence they had just "stolen".
The group confessed that they had previously successfully staged four traffic accidents to pickpocket and appropriate property from passersby. The police are currently expanding their investigation.
