Conversion table of IT certificates and international English certificates for admission to advanced classes
(Baonghean.vn) - This year, Nghe An will give priority to admitting students with IT and English certificates to advanced classes.
Previously, according to the plan this year Huynh Thuc Khang High School will enroll students.advanced grade 10with a target of 200 students. In addition, Ha Huy Tap High School and Le Viet Thuat High School will each enroll 2 advanced classes with a target of 80 students each.
Students can apply for advanced classes in 3 ways. Firstly, with the application based on the results of training and studying at secondary school level and the results of international English proficiency certificates, students need to have an academic IELTS English certificate (IELTS Academic) from 4.0 or higher or other equivalent international certificates.

Second, for admission based on secondary school training and study results and international IT certificate results: Have at least 1 of 3 certificates IC3 GS6 Level 1, IC3 GS6 Level 2, IC3 GS6 Level 3 from 700 points or higher.
In addition, students can apply based on the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year.
According to the newly announced guidelines of the Department of Education and Training, if admission is based on the results of study and training at secondary school level and the results of international English and IT proficiency certificates, the basis for admission is the results of study and training for 4 years at secondary school level, international English proficiency certificate scores, and international IT proficiency certificate scores.
The admission score is the sum of the converted score of the international English or IT proficiency certificate and the average score of the 4-year study results at secondary school. In which, the average score of the 4-year study results at secondary school = (Total average score of all subjects for the entire year of grades 6, 7, 8, and 9)/4.

The admission process will be in order from high to low according to the admission score until the quota is full. In case of reaching the last quota, if there are many students with the same admission score, the admitted students will be considered from high to low in order of priority: converted score of the results of the international English and IT proficiency certificates; average score of all subjects for the entire 9th grade year.
The admission ratio between students with international English proficiency certificates and international IT certificates is decided by the school and submitted to the Department for approval.
Meanwhile, admission by the admission method based on the entrance exam scores for grade 10 high school is considered in order from high to low according to the admission score, in which the admission score is the total score of Math, Literature, and English in the entrance exam for grade 10 high school in the 2024-2025 school year.
The list of admitted students is compiled in order of admission scores from high to low. The admission ratio between students with international English and IT proficiency certificates and according to the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year is decided by the school and submitted to the Department for approval.
This is the third year that Nghe An has implemented the advanced model in public high schools. In the 2023-2024 school year, the admission score for the advanced class at Huynh Thuc Khang High School and Ha Huy Tap High School is 19 points; the admission score for the advanced class at Le Viet Thuat High School is 18 points.
According to the plan, the admission results will be announced by the school before May 25, 2024.


According to the guidance of the Department of Education and Training, there are 4 groups of students admitted directly to grade 10 of high school, including:
- Boarding school students have graduated from junior high school.
- Students are from very small ethnic groups belonging to 16 ethnic groups: Cong, Mang, Pu Peo, Si La, Co Lao, Bo Y, La Ha, Ngai, Chut, O Du, Brau, Ro Mam, Lo Lo, Lu, Pa Then, La Hu.
- Inclusive students with disabilities have completed junior high school.
- Students won national and international prizes in culture, arts, sports, and science and technology competitions for middle and high school students.
