Gang of young thieves specializing in 'breaking into houses' in mountain town

(Baonghean.vn) - Since the beginning of the month, this group of students has committed 4 robberies by breaking into people's houses late at night to steal property.

On the morning of November 27, Major Lo Van Thao, Deputy Chief of Police of Ky Son District (Nghe An), said that Mr. Vuong Anh Ngoc (26 years old, residing in Muong Xen town), went to the district police to report the loss of a phone worth 7 million VND while he was sleeping.

During the investigation, the police arrested Ta Ba Senh, Lau Ba Tu, and Ba Chinh - 11th grade students at Ky Son High School and Mua Ba Chai (dropped out of school). All 4 teenagers are 16 years old.

At the police station, this gang of thieves confessed that in addition to the above theft in November, they had committed three other thefts, stealing many properties worth a total of nearly 10 million VND from people in Muong Xen town.

The stolen property included phones, silver necklaces, etc. After selling them, the group divided the money to spend.

Local authorities said that this group of students were addicted to video games and often hung out. They often gathered at internet cafes until late at night before committing the crime.

According to Ky Son District Police, there is currently enough evidence to prosecute Senh and Tu for theft. These two students are believed to be the leaders of the gang, directly participating in all the thefts.
