According to the Bangkok Post, at around 2:00 p.m. on August 19 (local time), passersby discovered a strange object wrapped in a black plastic bag, lying on the ground right below the Nana skytrain station, Sukhumvit Road.
With fears of the two previous attacks, people immediately reported the suspicious object to authorities.
After receiving the news, police and bomb disposal experts immediately arrived at the scene.
The Ploenchit side entrance to the station was forced to close, and the lane was also blocked, forcing traffic to take a different route. However, the trams continued to operate normally.
At 3:10 p.m. the same day, the bomb disposal team concluded that it was just cardboard wrapped in a black plastic bag, with transparent tape wrapped around it.
