Responding to a reporter's question asking about Vietnam's reaction to the US's 2015 annual human rights report mentioning Vietnam, Mr. Le Hai Binh said:
The 2015 annual human rights report of the US State Department has noted some of Vietnam’s achievements in ensuring human rights. However, the report continues to rely on inaccurate information, has made some subjective comments and does not accurately reflect the reality of human rights implementation in Vietnam.
Vietnam's consistent policy is to always respect and promote the fundamental rights of its people. Vietnam's efforts and achievements in continuously ensuring and improving the fundamental rights of its people in recent times have been recognized and highly appreciated by the international community.
"Vietnam is always ready to have frank and open discussions with countries, including the US, on issues where there are still differences, thereby narrowing disagreements, enhancing understanding and contributing to promoting the Comprehensive Partnership between the two countries," Mr. Le Hai Binh emphasized./.
