The press better serves leadership and management

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of September 6, in Vinh city, the monthly press conference took place under the chairmanship of comrades To Hong Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Head of the Propaganda Department; Ho Quang Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Director of the Department of Information and Communications.

Commenting on the press work and the implementation of the Press Law in August by the Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, the press agencies closely followed, reflected diversely and richly the events, promptly informed the political, socio-economic, national defense and security tasks in the area. Including major events on the 68th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2; localities assessed the results of implementing the mid-term congress resolutions, thoroughly grasping the resolutions of the Central Committee, Resolution 26-NQ/TW dated July 30, 2013 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An province until 2020, the results of the work of increasing and embellishing the Vietnam - Laos border markers and trade promotion activities.

The press agencies have raised more than 100 issues related to the province's socio-economic situation, serving the Party committees and authorities at all levels in leadership, management, and handling of limitations and weaknesses at the grassroots level. However, in the first 6 months of the year, 22 departments, branches, localities, and units have not responded promptly to 24 issues raised by the press, and the province needs to continue to direct the handling of 18 issues raised by the press in August.

Concluding the meeting, comrade To Hong Hai reminded press agencies to closely follow the direction of propaganda for events in September; pay attention to presenting newspapers to ensure content and form to serve political tasks well; press management and direction agencies will learn from experience in directing and reflecting sensitive issues in a timely manner, to refute the slanderous arguments of hostile forces; continue to propagate typical examples and new factors in studying and following Uncle Ho in conjunction with the patriotic emulation movement, and well implement the Party's resolutions.
