Press effectively propagates work to ensure traffic safety and order
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, May 11, in Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Newspaper hosted the 20th Conference of Party Newspapers of provinces and cities in the Central and Central Highlands regions with the theme "Party Newspapers propagate to ensure traffic safety and order", round III.
Attending the workshop were comrades: Truong Minh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Hoang Huu Luong - Director of the Press Department, Ministry of Information and Communications; Nguyen Huu Hoai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, representatives of a number of provincial departments, veteran journalists and editorial boards, reporters of 19 newspapers in the region.

The report presented at the workshop by Quang Binh Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Hoang Minh Tien mentioned: In order to control and reduce traffic accidents, recently the Party and Government have issued many directives and resolutions to direct all levels, sectors and localities on ensuring traffic order and safety (TTATGT).
That is Directive 22 dated February 24, 2003 of the Party Central Committee Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in ensuring traffic safety. National Strategy on Traffic Safety 2011-2020 and vision to 2030. Vietnam
In the directives and resolutions of the Party and the State, one of the important solutions to reduce traffic accidents is to propagate and educate people to comply with traffic safety laws. From that meaning, the Party newspapers of 19 provinces and cities in the Central and Central Highlands regions chose the topic of the seminar on propaganda to ensure traffic safety. Thereby, finding the best solutions to promote propaganda, raise people's awareness in complying with traffic laws, building a traffic culture environment in the community, contributing to reducing traffic accidents.
Content of the papers' presentations at the conference: Ninh Thuan Newspaper mentioned the propaganda of 3 interlinked contents, which are education to raise awareness, education of civilized lifestyle associated with setting good examples, and criticism of traffic law violations.
Thanh Hoa Newspaper implements the motto of diversifying propaganda work on traffic safety laws, combining concentrated propaganda, area propaganda with point propaganda and special propaganda.
Overview of the workshop
Kon Tum Newspaper determined that propaganda about traffic safety laws must be maintained regularly and long-term. Khanh Hoa Newspaper raised propaganda about enhancing the responsibility of the traffic police force, fighting bribery; through the hotline, setting an example for officers and soldiers in this field and paying attention to how to control traffic accidents on National Highway 1A.
Ha Tinh Newspaper believes that it is necessary to pay more attention to promoting traffic safety and promoting good examples of traffic police so that people will sympathize and help this force do its job well.
Nghe An Newspaper is interested in promoting traffic culture, regularly maintaining the Traffic Safety page, traffic columns, aiming towards a modern civilized city, creating consensus among all classes of people. Da Nang Newspaper promotes anti-urban traffic congestion, using helmets when riding motorbikes and scooters in conjunction with policies for people, eliminating ferry terminals, praising good examples of implementing traffic culture. Quang Binh Newspaper launched a writing contest "For Traffic Safety" from 1-3 and ending on 31/12/2012. The Newspaper regularly maintains the Traffic Safety column.
