Ensure the legitimate rights of depositors

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 11, the Deposit Insurance Branch of the North Central region held a conference to deploy tasks for 2014. Attending were comrades: Nguyen Van Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deposit Insurance of Vietnam; Thai Van Hang - Member of the Standing Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the State Bank of the provinces in the region.

In 2013, in the North Central region, the total number of organizations participating in the Deposit Insurance (DI) under the management of the Branch was 227 units, including 1 Joint Stock Commercial Bank and 226 grassroots People's Credit Funds. The total capital of the units reached nearly 52 trillion VND, of which, mobilized capital reached more than 42 trillion VND, outstanding loans were over 32 trillion VND. The operation of the entire grassroots people's credit fund system had a fairly good growth rate, reasonable capital structure, basically complied with regulations on safety indicators in operations, credit quality was guaranteed, bad debt accounted for a low ratio compared to total outstanding debt... DIAMOND BHTGVN has contributed to ensuring the trust of depositors, cleaning and strengthening the banking system.

Overview of the Conference

In 2014, the North Central Region BHTG Branch continued to complete the legal basis, organizational structure, consolidate and improve operational efficiency, and improve professional quality for sustainable development. Remote monitoring was carried out for 97-100% of BHTG participating organizations under the Branch's management.

It is necessary to closely coordinate with the Deposit Insurance of Vietnam, the State Bank... to have timely solutions, excellently completing the assigned tasks.
