The Organizing Committee of the Party Newspaper Conference of provinces and cities in the Central Highlands region presented charity houses to the families of Mr. Kra Jan Ha Chieng and Ms. K'Lieng Mi La (village 3, Da Sar commune, Lac Duong district) and awarded scholarships to poor but excellent students of Lac Duong district, Lam Dong province.

On the afternoon of August 17, within the framework of the Conference of Party Newspapers of provinces and cities in the Central - Central Highlands region, Journalist Ho Thi Lan - Editor-in-Chief of Lam Dong Newspaper, Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, together with leaders of Party newspaper agencies in the Central - Central Highlands region visited and presented charity houses to poor households; awarded scholarships to poor students who overcame difficulties to study well in Lac Duong district.

Attending the ceremony to present charity houses and scholarships were also representatives of leaders of Lac Duong district, Lam Dong province.

Delegation of Nghe An Newspaper led by Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Deputy Editor-in-Chief attended the activity.

Accordingly, at this workshop in Lam Dong province, with the consensus and financial contributions of 19 Party press agencies, the Organizing Committee decided to build a house for the family of Mr. Kra Jan Ha Chieng and Ms. K'Lieng Mi La (village 3, Da Sar commune, Lac Duong district).

It is known that the family of Mr. Kră Jăn Ha Chiêng and Ms. K'Lieng Mi La is the poorest household in the village. They have 2 children, 12 years old and 4 years old. The 4-year-old child is often sick with expensive medical expenses. Not only is the family poor, but the family also has no land to produce, so to have money to cover their living expenses, both husband and wife have to work for hire in many different jobs, but the income is also unstable, life is precarious. Currently, the whole family lives in this dilapidated house.

After the survey, Lam Dong Newspaper - the organizer of the Workshop, decided to support funding to work with the locality to build a new house for the family of Mr. Kră Jan Ha Chieng and Ms. K'Lieng Mi La.

Up to now, the new house has been completed with an area of ​​more than 50m2.2. The total construction cost is over 200 million VND; of which, the support cost from 19 Party newspapers in the Central - Central Highlands region is 100 million VND; 46 million VND from the Socio-Economic Development Program for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas; Da Sar Commune People's Committee mobilized benefactors to support 20 million VND to build the embankment and the remaining 40 million VND from Ha Chieng's family.

On this occasion, Lam Dong Newspaper also presented Ha Chieng's family with a TV so that the family could have more conditions to move to a new house.

Journalist Ho Thi Lan - Editor-in-Chief of Lam Dong Newspaper, Head of the Conference Committee sent her congratulations to Ha Chieng's family; at the same time, she hoped that the house would be a motivation for the family to strive to overcome difficulties, develop the economy, stabilize their lives and soon escape poverty in the near future.

Mr. Ha Chieng was excited: I am very happy to have a new, spacious house like this. From now on, my wife, I and our children do not have to live in a small, dilapidated, damp house full of stuff like before. Having a new house is the motivation for me to continue to strive to have a better life for my family.

On this occasion, leaders of Lam Dong Newspaper and Party newspapers in the Central Highlands region also coordinated with Lac Duong district to organize a scholarship awarding ceremony for poor students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in the locality. The organizing committee awarded 35 scholarships (VND 1 million/scholarship) to poor students who have overcome difficulties.

The scholarship funding is drawn from the social charity fund of Lam Dong Newspaper.
