Party newspapers must spread inspiration to society.

(Baonghean) -LTSOn the occasion of the anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Nghe An Newspaper respectfully introduces an interview with Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee on a number of issues that need attention for the press, revolutionary press, and local Party newspapers in the face of new requirements.

Reporter:Dear Provincial Party Secretary, what do you think about the role of the press in general and revolutionary press in particular?

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh:I think that revolutionary press is a very important tool of the Party. In every stage of the country's development, the press has made many contributions to the country's development.

In recent times, the press has actively propagated the Party and State's guidelines, policies and guidelines, orienting public opinion, creating political stability and consensus in society.

The press has provided comprehensive, quick, sharp, objective and honest information; it is a bridge connecting the people with the political system, reflecting the people's thoughts and aspirations.

The press has delved into social life, discovered social grievances and inadequacies, and with a constructive and impartial spirit has contributed comments and criticism so that Party committees and authorities at all levels can make timely and correct adjustments and handling.

Depending on each period, the way the media in general and revolutionary press in particular operate has changed flexibly to meet the needs of society.

During wartime, revolutionary journalism was closely linked to the task of propaganda, promoting patriotism, creating consensus and combined strength. In modern times, revolutionary journalism focuses on national development and international integration. Revolutionary journalism always maintains a firm political stance, refuting false arguments against plots to cause political instability...

Regardless of the period or context, the importance of the media in general and revolutionary journalism in particular is indisputable.

Reporter:According to you, what are the advantages and difficulties facing revolutionary journalism in the current period?

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh:The legitimacy of revolutionary journalism is an extremely great advantage in the context of increasingly developing information media. Nowadays, journalism is not only limited to printed newspapers but also has many other modern tools and transmission methods such as the internet, smart devices, information sharing sites, etc. The diversification of sources of supply and the popularization of information access methods lead to the fact that the authenticity of much information is not guaranteed, requiring managers to be close and information recipients to have smart selection. Official media agencies have a great advantage when they grasp fast and correct information sources, which are trusted by readers.

However, a challenge for revolutionary press is: How to maintain Party spirit, exemplary in information transmission, and attract and appeal to readers? We know that readers today have many choices and are divided into many groups with diverse interests and concerns. Party newspapers must basically meet the information needs of readers, in the spirit of maintaining their operating principles of transmitting and orienting public opinion based on the Party and State's guidelines, policies and strategies. I think that is a difficult problem for Party newspapers today.

Reporter:So what do you expect from a Party newspaper in the new era and more specifically from the Party newspaper of your province?

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh:I believe and hope in the innovation of the Party newspaper to meet the modern media environment and needs. To do that, I believe there are 3 things that the Party newspaper needs to do:

Firstly, promptly approach and grasp new technologies and means to serve the press work. The way of expressing and thinking about conveying information should also be flexible, learning new and good ways of communication at home and abroad.

Second, improve the capacity and qualifications of the team of reporters. Training highly qualified human resources is a crucial task for the newspaper to maintain stable operations and develop further.

Third, innovate the operating mechanism to avoid making the apparatus cumbersome. Consistency, agility and high specialization are the conditions for a professional and modern press production line.

I strongly agree and support the innovation of Nghe An Newspaper towards a more modern and professional media model. This direction is correct, in line with the trend of the times, but there are also many difficulties, Nghe An Newspaper needs to continue to make efforts and strive.

For a province of such political, geographical, cultural and economic importance to the whole country, with a long revolutionary tradition like Nghe An, the demands and expectations of the Party and people for the provincial Party newspaper are very high. In this period, we are making efforts to build Nghe An into a fairly good province in the North as the goal set out in Resolution 26 of the Politburo. We must do everything possible to spread the inspiration and high consensus of the Party, government and people of Nghe An in all aspects and in all areas of social life.

I hope that when reading Nghe An Newspaper, we can see a picture depicting the strong movement and transformation of our province. There may still be some grievances in society, which we frankly raise in a constructive and corrective spirit. But at the same time, we must point out that there are also many examples of good people, good deeds, and many remarkable achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of our province have achieved together. Accompanying and encouraging the development of the province is the task and role that the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An trust and entrust to the Party newspaper.
